Tom Castriota grew up in the car business.  His family still owns a Chevrolet store in Pittsburgh, PA. 

Tom opened his first dealership after leaving active duty in the Marine Corp in 1979.  He, and his family, eventually moved to the west coast of Florida, where in 1993, he and his wife, Anita, acquired the dealership that would eventually become Castriota Chevrolet.  From that exciting day, Castriota Chevrolet has grown to become one of the largest and most successful dealerships in Florida. 

Tom retired from the Marine Corps Reserves as a Lt. Col. in 2001.  In mid-2006, Tom was recalled to the Marine Corps in November 2006 and deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  While there, he served as the J-3 OPS/LNO to MNF-I with the Multi-National Security Transition Command – Iraq. During that period, he worked with the Prime Minister of Iraq’s operation command center and the command that was tasked with training Iraq forces.  He returned home from active duty in august 2007, where once again, he can be found walking the halls and greeting customers.
