To put it simply, the Chevrolet Blazer is a larger SUV than the Equinox. Its wheelbase stands and 112.7 inches compared to 107.3 inches for the Equinox. The Blazers checks in at over 3,780 pounds, with the smaller Equinox topping just over 3,270 pounds in terms of curb weight.
In terms of cargo volume, the Blazer carries a capacity of 108 cubic feet. The Chevrolet Equinox comes at even 100 cubic feet of interior volume. Both the Blazer and Equinox have a standard seating capacity of five. Moreover, the Blazer does squeak by the Equinox when it comes to cargo space, with 64.2 cubic feet of space compared to 63.9 cubic feet of cargo space.
Performance
The increased size of the Blazer comes with a higher displacement of engine capacity. The Chevrolet Blazer comes standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 193 horsepower with 188-pound feet of torque. The Chevrolet Equinox is powered by a smaller 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower and 203-pound feet of torque.
Both the Blazer and Equinox have a maximum towing capacity of 1,500 pounds.
