If you are looking to purchase a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and cannot decide between the LT trim and the LT Trail Boss trim, we understand. Both trim levels are very popular with our Tampa Bay area drivers.
With all-wheel drive and the same ground clearance, both vehicles have a lot in common. But many differences make the LT trim and the LT Trail Boss trim stand out. You cannot go wrong choosing either of these levels, but at Castriota Chevrolet, we are here to help you decide which one makes the most sense for your daily life.
Engine Performance
The engine on a truck has to have enough power to tow and haul your materials and cargo all over Wesley Chapel. Both trim levels have powerful engines, but they also have unique options. The engine options on these trim levels include:
LT Trim
- A standard 2.7L four-cylinder turbo engine that puts out 310 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque.
- An optional 5.3L EcoTe3 V8 engine that puts out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque.
LT Trail Boss Trim
- A standard 5.3L EcoTrec3 V8 engine that puts out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque.
- An optional 6.2L EcoTrec# V8 engine that puts out 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
When properly equipped, the Chevy Silverado 1500 LT trim can tow up to 6,800 pounds, while the Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss trim can tow up to 7,000 pounds.
Exterior Features
The LT trim comes standard with 17-inch Bright Silver painted aluminum wheels. The door handles are painted the same color as the rest of the exterior for a cohesive look. The bumpers and mirror caps are standard chrome.
The LT Trail Boss trim comes standard with the door handles, front bumpers, and rear bumper being the same color as the rest of the exterior for an even more cohesive look.
Both trim levels have LED lighting, ties-downs, and cab-mounted lamps in the cargo bed. They also both have heated outside mirrors to melt off any fog or rain for better visibility.
Interior Features
The LT trim comes standard with heated front seats and a leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel. The touchscreen is upgraded to an eight-inch screen with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
The LT Trail Boss Trim has bucket seats for style. The rear window defogger is best for those foggy and rainy days. Remote start lets you get the a/c or heater going while you are still getting ready inside. The touchscreen is upgraded to eight inches and includes the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System.
Both trim levels have a driver’s seat that is 10-way power-adjustable with lumbar support for extra comfort on those long drives. In-vehicle 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot is standard. You can rock out hard with the six-speaker audio system.
