The current vehicle market is wildly and historically outside what we would typically call normal. We are still feeling the effects of the Covid pandemic on top of supply chain issues that have caused increased demand and lower inventory of some of our most popular Chevy models.
At Castriota Chevrolet, we refuse to exacerbate the volatile market by over-charging to take advantage of the current outrageous market adjustments. We believe by continuing to charge fair prices, we not only help our community members acquire the vehicles they need, but we help get the market back under control.
Why We Refuse to Raise Prices in the Current Market
Our dealership has served Hudson, FL, for decades, and we have won numerous awards for our dedication and service to the community. We pride ourselves in offering great Chevy vehicles to our community members. We believe in charging fair prices as recommended by the manufacturer. Here are some of the reasons why we will not participate in market adjustments in our current automotive landscape:
- We want to keep customer trust. It's simple; people don't like dealership markups, no matter the reason. It doesn't make sense to the average driver if manufacturer pricing remains steady, why a dealership would make market adjustments well above MSRP.
- Our customers have little to no interest in market adjustments because they are not selling cars - they are using them for personal use. It doesn't make sense for our average customers to overspend on their next family vehicle.
- Marking up prices or price gauging will only make the economic hardships we are experiencing worse. We believe staying level-headed and charging reasonable prices will help us recover from the wide fluctuations we are currently experiencing. *One exception for possible market adjustments is on luxury vehicles like our Corvettes.
